What kind of lighting would be best for a patio umbrella electric battery, or solar?
I wish I had one of those umbrellas patio lights along the inside of the ribs. 'm Not excited about running an electrical cord, but wonder how time the batteries would last on a battery-operated umbrella. Or an umbrella with solar lights operated satisfactory.

I'm looking to build a solar charger for my iPod and phone. How can I build one?

My goal is to have the battery charging solar panel during the day which would then charge my phone and iPod when I get home from work at night. From what I understand the voltage regulator maintains a voltage and amperage telling into the iPod so as not to burn. What do I need to change to be able to charge a battery? What do I need to get online after the battery to charge my devices?

Im going on an expedition and want a solar battery charger is lightweight and portable. Silva Solar Charger looks great. . . Does anyone know if you can roll up, or you have subsidized housing?
I guess he wants the Silva charge a GPS, and you're on a long trip. In my experience, Silva works well, is a bit more likey to be damaged by normal wear whatever I wanted, but that's life. If you are looking for something to load other things (cell phone, MP3 player, camera, some GPS), I check out the Solio. Because it is much more durable Silva's products, I use it for hill climbs when I'm out of 10 hours with my iPod. I can leave it open in the mesh pocket of my CamelBak and have been bouncing all day and well. However, DO NOT do AA / AAA, the only thing that can be charged through a USB port or plug, so if their isn't a Garmin Forerunner GPS or Garmin Edge, I really do not have that as an option.
